The GLARE MOUT (manufactured by B.E. Meyers) is a visible handheld or weapon mounted laser system, designed to be an effective non-lethal warning device at distances up to 150 meters and a signaling beacon up to 2 km. The unit can be used safely and effectively anytime day or night as a means of temporarily distracting or “dazzling” a target subject.
The GLARE MOUT instantly impedes vehicle movement at check points and road blocks , provides a non-lethal method of crowd control for increased friendly reaction time and effectively neutralizes aggressive behavior by visual interference. The laser provides a decisive hail and warning signal in excess of 1 km in 3 warning modes: solid, slow blink and fast blink.
The GLARE MOUT can be handheld or weapon mounted to a MIL-STD-1913 Rail with an optional 1913 Rail Mount and boresighed with built-in azimuth and elevation adjustments. An optional anti-reflection boot is available for use through windows.
